May 3 in Syracuse for State BOE Meeting
Please join
New Yorkers for Verified Voting on Tuesday, May 3, at the New York State Board
of Elections annual conference in Syracuse NY.
At the
conference, NYVV will be conducting our first citizens voting machine survey.
We asking concerned citizens to come to Syracuse, try out the voting machines,
and complete survey forms to documenting the features, capabilities, and
usability of each type of voting system.
We're
holding a press conference at 11 AM to talk about the paper ballot optical scan
alternative to DREs, and announce some new data we've collected from states
already using precinct based optical scan systems.
We will
spend the day distributing literature and talking about the paper
ballot/optical scan option for New York State to election officials and members
of the media and public who are attending the conference.
This should
be a great event to continue to spread our message about paper ballots/optical
scan in NYS. I hope you can join us.

Directions
from the South (I-81)
-------------------------
I-81N,
coming up on Syracuse from the south;
Move right
at Exit 16 to I-481N (Dewitt, E. Syracuse, Manlius)
Take I-481N
to exit 5W (it's the second exit at 5, "Kirkville Road West)
Move into
center lane and cross intersection with Fly Road;
Go about 1/3
mile then to right turn on Franklin Park Drive
Right at the
first light, onto Kinne Drive;
Move
immediately into the left lane, north for ~ 1/4 mile.
Left at next
light, onto Carrier Pkwy. (a.k.a. Collamer Rd.);
Move into
the right lane, west for ~1/3 to Wyndham Hotel on right.
Hotel
entrance is an abrupt right then left.

From NYS thruway (I-90)

Get off at
NYS thruway Exit 35.
This brings
you to Carrier Circle.
Go 3/4
around circle and follow rt. 298 east.
Take a left
at the first traffic light into the hotel.
